Whether you're in favor of it or against it, fighting is a big part of hockey. No other sport contains the physical intensity that hockey features, and part of evaluating a player's talent level involves looking at how tough they are.

In fact, some players find a job in the league based solely on their ability to dish out punishment. Enforcers have become an integral part of NHL rosters, especially considering how important it is to protect a team's star players.
