The fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao may happen sooner than you think. They have talked on the phone finally, but the two sides have still not reached an agreement for a fight date.

"They spoke," said Leonard Ellerbe, one of the advisers to Mayweather. "Floyd called him last night and the context of the conversation is between the two of them," Ellerbe told ESPN on Thursday.

Ellerbe was given the details of the conversation by Pacquiao, but failed to elaborate for ESPN due to the orders of Pacquiao himself.

Reports have said that Pacquiao is looking for a 50-50 split of the profits from the fight. Who knows if this fight will even happen, but a small talk on the phone is the start of something positive for these two.
