"I thought it was a very professional, high-quality performance from the players," Dalglish told LiverpoolFC.tv. "We were delighted with everyone that played – and everyone made a contribution.
"For us, there is no 'I' in team. Everyone made a contribution and we were delighted for them."
The 3-0 final may not be the most accurate reflection of the effort it took to sweep past Wolves. The first half was an even affair, as both teams took a deliberate approaches on their forward ventures.
Liverpool did well to conserve its energy in the first half, because it seized the initiative right after the break. Andy Carroll and Craig Bellamy scored early in the second half, and Wolves could not muster a response before Dirk Kuyt added the third.
Reporters pointed to Bellamy and Carroll as catalysts of the rout, but Dalglish redirected the focus to the team effort.
Liverpool was playing its 12th game since mid-December, and returning to the field just three days after Saturday's win over Manchester United. Dalglish has rotated players in and out of the team for much of the last three weeks, and LFC's performance at the Molineux was a culmination of weeks' worth of work.
The fifth-place Reds have five days between games to rest, recuperate and prepare for Tottenham Hotspur's trip to Anfield on Monday.
