Mickael Pietrus hasn't stepped on the floor for the Celtics since signing with the team a couple of weeks ago. But it looks like the veteran forward will be ready to go for Wednesday night's showdown with the defending NBA champions.

Pietrus said he'd be ready "in 48 hours" on Monday, just in time for the Celtics' game against the Dallas Mavericks at TD Garden on Wednesday night, according to the team's official Twitter account.

The C's signed Pietrus prior to their season opener against the Knicks on Christmas Day after he cleared waivers. The 29-year-old has been out because of offseason knee surgery, however, and has yet to appear in a game with Boston.

Pietrus, who's played with the Warriors, Magic and Suns over the course of his eight NBA seasons, should give the team some help out on the wing.

He averaged 7.2 points in 19.4 minutes per game last season, and has averaged 8.5 points in 21.5 minutes per game for his career.
