Patriots Will Keep ‘MHK’ Patch on Left Side of Jerseys, Super Bowl Patch Will Be Displayed on Right Side

In an honorable twist, the Patriots will keep their “MHK” patches above their hearts on the left side of their jerseys during the Super Bowl.

They have worn the patches all season with the initials of Myra Kraft, the late wife of Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

Teams traditionally don the patch with the Super Bowl logo on the left side of their jerseys. But in this instance, the Patriots will wear the Super Bowl patch on the right side of their jerseys.

The NFL permitted the “MHK” patch throughout the entire season, which gave it precedent over the Super Bowl logo.

The Steelers are another team that has worn the Super Bowl patch on the right side of their jerseys because their team logo is on the left side.
