Robert Kraft Touched by BenJarvus Green-Ellis' Tribute to Owner's Late Wife MyraFOXBORO, Mass. – The Patriots have dedicated their entire season to the memory of Myra Kraft, the late wife of owner Robert Kraft, who passed away shortly before the season began.

All season, the tributes to Myra have been present in and around the Patriots’ community.

There’s the "MHK" patch stitched onto the heart of every jersey. Front office and team personnel wear those same initials on pins, again right over their hearts. And there’s the large painting given to Kraft as a gift from his extended family — his team — that paying tribute to Myra’s legacy. That same painting, featuring her initials and the word "Dedication" was sitting front and center in the Pats' locker room on Sunday afternoon.

But the latest tribute came in the form of Sunday’s 23-20 AFC Championship win that will send the Patriots to their sixth Super Bowl in the Kraft era.

Running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis gave his own personal tribute when he scored a seven-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. The running back tapped the jersey patch and then pointed skyward.

A few hours later, Robert Kraft did the same by touching the pin on his coat and pointing skyward after receiving the Lamar Hunt trophy as he and his team celebrated on the Gillette Stadium field.

Kraft spoke in the Patriots' locker room about the gesture, and he said he didn’t take the idea from Green-Ellis. In fact, he was too busy celebrating the score with Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler who was in Kraft’s owners’ box after singing the national anthem.

"Wow," Kraft said upon hearing of Green-Ellis' tribute. "I was talking to Steven Tyler. He was distracting me. Holy mackerel, honest to goodness, I didn’t see it. … Oh, I love him even more. Where is he? I’m gonna go give him a kiss."

With that, Kraft walked off to find his running back.

On his way out of the locker room a little bit later, Kraft stopped for one more embrace, this one with linebacker Jerod Mayo. The owner hugged Mayo and handed him the Lamar Hunt trophy.

"It's all about Mr. Kraft," Mayo said. "You know who we’re doing it for. One more. Sixty more minutes."

In a season of tributes, Kraft and the Patriots are they can cap things off in a super way in two weeks in Indianapolis.
