The landmark partnership between LFC and Warrior Sports Inc. will mark the American company's first foray into world soccer. For six years, it will design and make LFC's home, away and third jerseys, as well as its training gear. It is best known for making equipment and apparel for hockey and lacrosse, but will enter the realm of the beautiful game in June.
Warrior Sports will have to prove itself to one of soccer's most discerning audiences, and at one of the game's most hallowed venues. Suarez and Gerrard may not have a choice, but LFC fans will when the new jerseys come out.
Will fans buy the new LFC gear even though Warrior doesn't have a track record of outfitting soccer teams? Will fans that revere their history as much as Liverpool's embrace a company that doesn't have one in this game?
