Zdeno Chara’s resume has beZdeno Chara Named Captain For NHL All-Star Gameen very impressive during his time with the Boston Bruins, and now he's adding a new accolade.

Chara has been named one of the captains for the upcoming All-Star weekend. The announcement was made by the NHL and NHLPA.

Chara will be sharing the title of captain with Ottawa Senators right winger Daniel Alfredsson. The two players will take part in the All-Star Players Fantasy Draft, which will take place on Jan. 26, during which Chara and Alfredsson will be able to build their own rosters, which could include the Bruins' Tyler Seguin and Tim Thomas.

Chara has had a great season for the Bruins, totaling seven goals and 19 assists to go along with a plus-27 rating, and he's been instrumental in guiding the Bruins' Stanley Cup defense.

The All-Star selection was Chara’s fifth during his 13-year career. The All-Star Game will be played on Sunday Jan. 29.
