Adrian Peterson Furious Over Million Dollar Fee to Switch Jersey NumberJersey numbers can be one of the most iconic pieces of a superstar’s legacy. Normally, big name superstars don’t change their numbers, and when they do people usually notice. LeBron James made a commotion when he changed his number from 23 to six when he moved to Miami.

Unfortunately, if an athlete wants to change numbers, he has to refund the company for all of the jerseys that weren’t purchased, and for Adrian Peterson, it was going to be a hefty bill.

Peterson revealed on his Twitter account that he would have to pay one million dollars if he wanted to switch his number from 28 to 23.

“I have to pay a Million Bucks!” Peterson tweeted. “Somebody’s winning in that situation & ITs not me! So clearly with that said I won’t be changing my number”

Peterson tweeted several times on the subject, expressing his disdain for the jersey policy and stated multiple times that he would not be switching numbers any time soon.

With over 212,000 followers on Twitter, Peterson’s rant caught pletny of eyes. Some followers took exception to a man complaining about paying a million dollars for a jersey switch, when that same man signed a multimillion dollar contract earlier this season. Peterson offered a retort to the critics.

“Someone just hit me saying stop crying! Lol I’m sharing my thoughts! I thought that’s what twitter was all about, ” Peterson tweeted.
