Joe Flacco's Agent Believes Quarterback Deserves Tom Brady MoneyJoe Flacco may have outplayed Tom Brady in this year's AFC Championship game, but the Ravens quarterback is still a ways from reaching Brady's status as an elite player.

Apparently Flacco's agent, Joe Linta, believes otherwise and thinks the 27-year-old signal caller deserves to be paid similar to what Brady, Drew Brees and other elite QB's command.

In an interview with the Baltimore Sun, Linta talks about Flacco's future contract situation and the possibility of working out a new deal with the team in the coming weeks. The bold agent goes on to compare Flacco to some of the best players in the game and explain that he should be rewarded for his elite level of play.

"If the game is about wins and losses, he has to be in the top five [quarterbacks]," Linta says of Flacco. "He is a player who has been extremely durable, never missed a game. And he's done something that no one has ever done. In his four years in the league, he has never missed a game and has more wins than any other quarterback."

In his four seasons at the helm for the Ravens, Flacco has tossed 80 total touchdown passes and thrown for more than 3,500 yards in three straight years. Flacco has also lead Baltimore to the playoffs in each of his four seasons in the NFL and has won a playoff game in each of those years.

Those facts alone merit some kudos and a definite pay raise from his current $4.6 million salary, which also includes a $3.6 million incentives bonus, but to think that Flacco has earned the same $15-20 million of a Brady, Brees or Peyton Manning is just outrageous.

When Flacco throws for 5,000-plus yards or finishes in the top-five in touchdown passes then maybe you start to consider it. But, for now at least, Flacco is realistically no better than Phillip Rivers or Mark Sanchez.
