Bill Belichick Proud of Patriots’ Compete Level, Feels Loss Came Down to Lack of Execution

The Patriots may have fallen to the Giants in heartbreaking fashion on Sunday, but head coach Bill Belichick was quick to note that it certainly wasn't due to a lack of effort from his team.

Belichick repeatedly expressed his pleasure with the Patriots' compete level, saying that he's proud of what his team accomplished this season, although he would've like to have seen the season end in a much more joyous way.

Belichick, who was seeking his fourth Super Bowl ring, said he felt it came down to the Giants executing better and making more plays than New England.
