There's a new No. 1 team in the college hockey rankings, and it's a Hockey East squad.

Boston College is the new No. 1 in the USCHO top 20 rankings this week, as the Eagles have moved up from the second spot last week to take over the top ranking from Ferris State which fell to No. 3. BC grabbed the top spot by earning 44 of a possible 50 first-place votes.

It's well-earned, too, as the Eagles have now won nine in a row after sweeping their weekend series with Providence by a combined score of 10-0.

Boston University joins BC in the top five, as the Terriers moved up one spot to No. 4 behind a sweep of Vermont.

UMass-Lowell (No. 8), Maine (No. 10) and Merrimack (No. 12) all join BC and BU in the top 20.
