The puck dropped on the 60th annual Beanpot tournament on Monday night at TD Garden, and when it did, the No. 1 team in the country was on the ice.

Jack Parker is at it again for Boston University, as he has his Terriers back in the top spot in the country after some early-season turbulence. Minnesota actually received more first-place votes than BU, but the Terriers had the eight-point edge with 930 points.

The Beanpot actually features two teams in the top five of the rankings, as Boston College enters the tournament as the No. 5 team in the country. BC assumes that position for the second consecutive week.

Away from the Beanpot scene, Hockey East is once again well represented among the nation's 20 top-ranked squads. UMass-Lowell and Merrimack remain in the top 10 at Nos. 7 and 8 respectively. The 18-7-0 River Hawks actually received a first-place vote as well after sweeping a pair of weekend games against Vermont.

Maine moved up in the poll as well, as the Black Bears jumped two spots to No. 13 after a weekend sweep of Alabama-Huntsville.
