Bruins Assign Andrew Bodnarchuk, Josh Hennessy to Providence

Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli announced on Sunday that the team has assigned defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk and forward Josh Hennessy to the club's AHL affiliate in Providence.

Bodnarchuk and Hennessy both joined the NHL club on Feb. 13 in advance of its six-game road trip that spanned 11 days.

Hennessy, a Rockland, Mass., native, appeared in three games for the Bruins on the trip, while Bodnarchuk did not see any ice time.

Hennessy has 15 goals and 15 assists in 49 games with Providence this season, and Bodnarchuk has 4-7-11 totals through 47 games.
