Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford arrived at JetBlue Park a little after 8 a.m. on Monday morning, four days ahead of position players’ mandatory arrival date.

Crawford, who is still rehabbing from wrist surgery, has no timetable for a full recovery. However, manager Bobby Valentine said last week that he “wouldn’t be surprised if Carl’s a few weeks into the season before he’s really ready.”

In 2011 — his first year with the Sox — Crawford hit .255 and scored 65 runs in 130 games.

Crawford had surgery on Jan. 17 to repair cartilage damage. According to reports, he will be able to do everything except swing a bat upon arriving in spring training. Sox position players aren’t scheduled to report until Thursday, Feb. 23 and their first workout isn’t scheduled until Saturday, Feb. 25.
