Mascot of Brazilian Soccer Club, Ceara SC, Suspended for Making Obscene GesturesBrazilian soccer club Ceara's "Grandpa" mascot has earned itself a two-match suspension. The Associated Press reports that during a game between Ceara and Ferroviario, Grandpa made obscene gestures in the direction of Ferroviario fans.

Ceara will be without its mascot for two games following Sunday's incident. The person wearing the mascot suit is expected to be punished as well.

Ceara has struggled in recent years, and it was relegated from the Brazilian first divison last season. Still, it remains one of the popular clubs in northeastern Brazil.
