Chad Ochocinco Reveals He’s Planning to Change Last Name Back to ‘Johnson’

Evelyn Lozada may not become Evelyn Ochocinco, after all.

No, the former Basketball Wives star and Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco aren't splitting. But it appears the wideout will be changing his last name back to Johnson, which it was for the first 30 years of his life.

Ochocinco revealed the decision on Twitter on Wednesday, saying that he'll be changing it on July 4. He then responded to tweets from fans, during which he seemed to reveal that his upcoming wedding is the reasoning behind the switch.

The entire Twitter sequence can be seen below, with the initial tweet nearest to the bottom.

I later suggested to Ochocinco (or Johnson) that he be known simply as "Chad" — maybe even "The Chad" — to really switch things up. All I heard was crickets, though, so we shall see.
