The Patriots don't need bulletin board material, but they may have just gotten some for good measure.

Giants defensive end Chris Canty told Giants fans to "get ready for a parade on Tuesday," according to the New York Post.

Some members of the New York media previously insisted that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady guaranteed a victory during Sunday's send-off rally at Gillette Stadium because he said "hopefully we have a lot more people at our rally next weekend." Canty's words were a bit more emphatic, though.

Canty was reportedly asked by a television reporter to send a message to the Giants fans back home, to which the defensive lineman responded, "Get ready for a great day on Super Bowl Sunday … and get ready for a parade on Tuesday."

Well then. Clearly, Mr. Canty is very confident heading into Sunday's Super Bowl showdown. He was even informed that his remarks could end up being bulletin board material for the Pats, but he didn't seem too concerned about it.

"I don't care, doesn't matter," Canty said. "Obviously, Tom Brady made a statement at their pep rally. Obviously, both teams are here to try to win a football game.

"It just is what it is. I'm not trying to inflame anybody or anything like that. I want our fans to be excited about the game that's coming up on Sunday. It's going to be a great football game. It's going to be a 60-minute game, and hopefully we can put ourselves in the best position to be successful."

We shall see. And for the record, this is not the same Chris Canty that played two seasons for the Patriots in the late 90s. Just saying.
