Deion Branch is ready to put his money where his mouth is on Friday, and he’s willing to package some autographed memorabilia in the deal as well.

The Patriots receiver tweeted Wednesday that he will be giving away a pair of cleats and gloves, both containing his John Hancock, to whoever makes the highest donation to the Deion Branch Charitable Foundation by Friday.

According to Team Branch’s official website and Facebook page, the foundation “is a non-profit organization whose mission is to offer support to children’s mental, physical and emotional well-being by assisting programs and initiatives aimed at improving their quality of life,” particularly meningitis victims.

Branch’s son, Deiondre, has been diagnosed with viral meningitis.

The foundation is raising money for the 2012 Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon/miniMarathon, which Branch will compete in on April 28. His family then plans to match the amount of donations raised for the event and donate all the proceeds to Home of the Innocents, a non-profit organization based in Louisville.
