Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week got a taste of football on Tuesday.

ESPN on-air personality Erin Andrews was at the event and took a loaded question about Super Bowl XLVI, according to Newsday.

When asked for her thoughts on Gisele Bundchen's reaction to husband Tom Brady's Super Bowl loss, Andrews came to Bundchen's defense.

"It was in the heat of the moment," Andrews said. "Her heart was breaking. I can't say I blame her."

Andrews has plenty of compassion for a woman who just watched her husband lose on the biggest stage. Unfortunately, Patriots fans likely don't share Andrews' empathy.

Bundchen publicly threw Wes Welker and the other Patriots wideouts under the bus by blaming them for the loss. It is understandable that the aftermath of the loss was an emotional time, but that's not something you say in front of the cameras. Bundchen is a public figure, she should understand that.
