Former Cal Quarterback Breaks World Record for Longest Paper Airplane Toss, Pandemonium Ensues (Video)

February 28, 2012

Paper airplane construction is a lost art in this day and age of video games and the Internet. However, there are some of us who grew up flinging airplanes around our house and classrooms.

Joe Ayoob was a college quarterback who was average at very best at Cal, who has reverted childhood activities, and now, he's a world record holder.

Ayoob, as Kegs 'N Eggs points out, helped establish a new world record for the longest paper airplane throw ever. The aircraft, designed by "The Paper Airplane Guy" John Collins, was thrown 226 feet and 10 inches to shatter the old record of 207 feet.

Check out video of the throw as well as the wild celebration below.
