Gary Carter, Ted Williams Now Get Chance to Discuss Hitting in Heaven
The baseball world lost a legend far too early when Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter passed away after a spirited battle with a brain tumor at the age of 57.

"The Kid," nicknamed for his happy-go-lucky attitude as a young player, was the favorite of many inside the game for years. The numerous tributes to Carter in both Montreal and New York are proof of that.

And while he may have played a big role in helping the Mets down the Red Sox in the 1986, it's probably safe to assume that another "Kid," Ted Williams, is looking forward to having someone else to talk hitting with.
