Jeremy Lin has been a revelation for the New York Knicks, tearing it up with three straight 20-point games, including 23 against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.

Lin was so impressive, he caught the eye of Ryan Wittman, son of Wizards head coach Randy. The younger Wittman — a former Cornell basketball player who played against Lin while the Knicks star was at Harvard – sent his dad a text after the game that probably didn't cheer him up.

"He told me that they did a much better job guarding him [at Cornell] than we did tonight," the elder Wittman said. "Makes Dad feel good."

The Wizards have had a brutal season, posting the third worst record in the NBA at 5-21. Wittman became the interim head coach after Flip Saunders was fired for a 2-15 start.

Even with former No.1 pick John Wall at the helm, Washington basketball is a far from being elite, and being compared to a college basketball team in any way is a sure sign that a franchise has a long way to go.
