Martha Stewart's Dog Among Winners at Westminster Dog Show (Photos)The Westminster Kennel Club dog show is one of the most prestigious events in the United States. The show, which trails only the Kentucky Derby for longest-running continuously held sporting event, has been in action since 1877.

This year, a chow chow that Martha Stewart co-owns, Ghenghis Khan, earned some recognition for itself as a winner of one of the many awards. The chow chow earned the Best in Breed award.

The event, hosted at Madison Square Garden, featured over 2,000 dogs, and included 185 unique breeds. When the event first began in 1877, around 1,200 dogs were in attendance. As each year passes, more dogs and more unique breeds begin showing up at MSG.

The most prestigious award of Best in Show is set to be revealed on Tuesday night.
