Barack Obama 'Very Impressed' With Jeremy Lin's Dominant Run With KnicksJeremy Lin was just another NBA player before Feb. 4, when he began his torrid run against the New Jersey Nets. Now, he's the biggest story in sports and has caught the attention of the most important man in the United States.

President Barack Obama has been following Lin and likes what he has seen from the Knicks point guard, according to Yahoo! Sports.

"[Obama] is an avid sports fan, and a particularly avid basketball fan, and we were speaking about Jeremy Lin on Marine One as we flew to Andrews Air Force Base this morning," said Jay Carney, the White House press secretary. "He is very impressed."

With his jerseys flying off the shelves, and a possible record for the most name-based puns in sports history, Lin has officially taken the world by storm.

New York's newest star now has the attention of one of the most powerful men in the world, and with the way Lin has been playing, it's not surprising to see that President Obama is impressed.

Of course, if Lin torches Obama's Chicago Bulls, the commander in chief might be singing a different tune.
