Rangers Forward, Massachusetts Native Brian Boyle Says He Hates Bruins ‘With a Passion’

It isn't that surprising to hear a member of the New York Rangers express hatred toward the Bruins. But surely, a New England native should learn to bite his tongue, right?

Rangers forward Brian Boyle, a Hingham, Mass., native who played college hockey at Boston College, expressed a genuine distaste for the Bruins during an interview with CSNNE.com's Joe Haggerty.

"I'm a big Red Sox and Patriots fan, but I hate the Bruins. I hate them with a passion," Boyle reportedly said. "That's how it's supposed to be, I think, and that's how it's been for a while. Last year they won and it's congratulations to them, but it really made me upset. I was pretty angry about it."

Boyle expressed a desire to see the Bruins-Rangers rivalry heat up to the level of other Boston-New York rivalries. Given the two teams' position in the Eastern Conference standings, it might not be too long before his wish becomes a reality.
