Red Sox Pitchers and Catchers Begin Spring Training Workouts in Fort Myers

Break out the bats and gloves, baseball season has officiallly begun.

The Red Sox started their first 2012 spring training workouts Tuesday from Fenway South, the team's new player development complex.

A total of 64 players will report to Fort Myers, Fla., for Boston's major league camp, including 34 pitchers and 6 catchers. Thirteen infielders and 11 outfielders will join those already in camp.

The team's first full-squad workout begins on Saturday, Feb. 25.
