Report: Yankees Sign Raul Ibanez to One-Year Deal Worth $1.1 MillionThe Yankees had a slow start to the offseason, but they've made up for it as they prepare to get spring training under way.

A day after completing a trade that sent starting pitcher A.J. Burnett to Pittsburgh, the Yankees have signed veteran outfielder Raul Ibanez to a one-year deal. The deal is worth $1.1 million plus incentives, according to multiple reports. The total value of the contract can reach $4 million if all incentives are met, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.

Ibanez likely completes the offseason checklist for the Bombers, as he'll give New York the left-handed designated hitter option they've been searching for.

Ibanez is 39, but he didn't show his age much in 2011. In 144 games with Philadelphia, Ibanez hit .245 with 20 home runs and 84 RBIs.
