After losing out on Brad Richards to the Rangers, the Los Angeles Kings were still able to add the goal scorer they desperately need. On Saturday, the Kings announced the signing of left wing Simon Gagne, The Associated Press reports.

The deal is reportedly for two years and $7 million, and it will reunite him with Terry Murray and John Stevens, who coached him in Philadelphia.

"I had some really great seasons with those two coaches," Gagne said. "John was the head coach in Philly for two years, so it's good. When you change teams, sometimes you need to adjust to the coach, and I feel that I know those guys already."

Gagne played his first 10 years in Philadelphia before joining Tampa Bay for the 2010-11 season. The two-time All-Star posted 17 goals and 23 assists in just 63 games this season.

Gagne's offensive presence is a much-needed addition to a Kings team that scored only 219 goals, which was tied with Nashville for the least of any playoff team.
