Rob Gronkowski Feeling Stronger After Surgery, Spikes Puck at Worcester Sharks Game (Video)

Rob Gronkowski is usually in the end zone when he's spiking things, and typically those things tend to be footballs. Gronkowki took an unusual shot at his touchdown celebration on Friday by spiking a puck at an AHL game in Worcester.

Gronkowski, who had surgery to repair his ankle after the Super Bowl, was carted out onto the ice in the back of a red pickup truck. The Pro Bowl tight end then proceeded to hop off the truckbed, raise the puck high above his head and smash it straight into the ice beneath his feet. The spike was so verocious that Gronk nearly knocked himself to the ice in the process, stumbling backwards into the truck behind him.

The Worcester Sharks, a team in the AHL, offered to pay the $7,500 fine that Gronkowski incurred for his spike in the face of a Jets' player earlier this season if he spiked a puck at a Sharks hockey game against the Providence Bruins.

During his visit, Patriots' reporter Jeff Howe caught up with Gronk to talk about the spike and how he's progressing from offseason ankle surgery.

Check out the video above to see how Gronkowski's recovery is going and more.
