Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been heavily criticized for his Twitter comments last Monday, which suggested Knicks guard Jeremy Lin has only been getting hype “because he’s Asian.”

“Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise,” his tweet said.

On Wednesday, UFC President Dana White joined the Mayweather-bashing the crowd, lambasting the boxing legend’s comments as being racist.

“First of all, what [Mayweather] said I think was racist,” White said on FUEL TV’s UFC Tonight. “He’s made a couple of racist comments and, yes, Floyd, you’re racist with the stuff that you’ve said.”

White also said he thinks Mayweather should focus on finally setting up a meeting with his rival, Manny Pacquiao.

“Don’t worry about what all these other guys are doing and shooting your big mouth off on Twitter. What you should worry about is getting in there and making the fight that all the boxing fans want to see. Get in there and fight Manny Pacquiao,” White said. “You don’t deserve more of the purse. If ever there were a fight in history that should be split 50/50, it’s the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.”

Pacquiao, who’s set to fight Timothy Bradley in June, is 54-3-2 for his career and hasn’t lost in over a decade. Mayweather, of course, is undefeated at 42-0-0.
