This week on the ice was a tough one for the Bruins, as the defending Stanley Cup champions suffered a bit of a scoring drought.

The B’s managed to score just five goals in three games and their lone win (4-1 against the Washington Capitals on Sunday) was sandwiched between two tough losses against Pittsburgh and Buffalo by scores of 2-1 and 6-0, respectively.

On Saturday, Boston’s layer defense caused a turnover in the Penguins’ offensive zone, and Rich Peverley, David Krejci and Adam McQuaid used speed and quick passes to spring Pittsburgh’s neutral zone trap.
