Alfredo Aceves was largely the most important reliever on the Red Sox roster in 2011. The reliable pitcher threw some very meaningful innings for the Sox last season and hopes to work his way into the starting rotation this year.

Aceves kicked off the spring training season for the Red Sox on Thursday with a "B-Game" against the Minnesota Twins in Fort Myers. The score didn't turn out in the Sox' favor, but Aceves looked good throwing off the mound.
