Baylor center Brittney Griner has accomplished all sorts of historical feats in her three years so far at Baylor.
The 6-foot-8 junior made history yet again Tuesday night when she became the second women’s college basketball player to dunk in an NCAA tournament game, according to CBS News.
With top-seeded Baylor up 11 early in the second half of the Bears’ second-round matchup with Florida, Griner received a pass deep in the paint and proceeded to throw down with one hand.
It was the sixth dunk of the All-American’s career, which trails only Tennessee’s Candace Parker, who had seven. Parker dunked twice in a 2006 first-round game against Army.
From there, the Bears rolled to a 76-57 victory, improving to 36-0 and advancing to a Sweet 16 date with fourth-seeded Georgia Tech.
Griner finished the game with 25 points, nine rebounds, four assists and six blocked shots. Check out her one-handed jam in the video below.
