BenJarvus Green-Ellis Draws High Praise, Well Wishes from Robert KraftFOBORO, Mass. — While the Patriots have been extremely busy improving their team during the first week of free agency, they know they're going to miss one of their greatest offensive weapons.

Owner Robert Kraft took a moment Thursday to acknowledge running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis' four-year stint with the Patriots. Green-Ellis, who signed with the Bengals on Wednesday, was appreciated for his reliability, having never fumbled in his career, and he also scored 24 touchdowns over the last two seasons, which was pretty helpful, too.

Kraft noted the Patriots have become a better team over the last week. They've signed at least 10 free agents, retained four others and extended restricted tenders to Brian Hoyer and Kyle Love.

But with all that in mind, Kraft still wanted to thank Green-Ellis for his time with the organization.

"One personal loss for me is BenJarvus," Kraft said during a Camp Sunshine community event at Gillette Stadium. "I really had a deep affection for him. He did a great job for us for four years, especially this past year. He was really supportive of me personally. We became good friends, and I'm always going to have a special attachment to him. Except when we play Cincinnati, I'm going to be rooting for him big time."
