Bobby Jenks Issues Statement in Wake of DUI Arrest, Apologizes to Red Sox Teammates, Organization

Red Sox reliever Bobby Jenks was arrested early Friday morning.

The veteran right-hander was charged with one count of driving under the influence, three counts of driving under the influence and damaging property and one count of fleeing the scene after damaging property.

On Sunday, Jenks issued the following statement:

"I am embarrassed by the situation and apologize to my teammates and to the Red Sox organization for any distractions I may have caused. I still need to let the legal process run its course and until it does, I will not be able to make any further comment."
