Bruins' Adam McQuaid Out of Action With Eye Injury, Dennis Seidenberg Will Travel to New YorkThe Boston Bruins revealed on Friday that defenseman Adam McQuaid did not suffer a concussion in Thursday's game against the Capitals. Instead, McQuaid's left eye is swollen shut and he will be unable to travel to New York with the team over the weekend.

Claude Julien said, "There's no concussion, just a bad cut," according to a report from ESPN.com. Julien added that he expects McQuaid to be day-to-day once the team gets back from their road trip against the New York Rangers and Islanders.

The Bruins were hoping McQuaid wouldn't have to miss any significant time due to the fact that Dennis Seidenberg is already out with a leg infection. Unlike McQuaid, Seidenberg will travel with the team to New York. Julien did not give an indication of whether he would play in either of the Bruins' games.
