Cristiano Ronaldo Claims Jose Mourinho Will Return to Real Madrid, Chelsea Speculation Should EndIf Jose Mourinho was really hell-bent on leaving Real Madrid after this season, Cristiano Ronaldo would be one of the first to know. On Tuesday, the superstar player moved to end speculation about his superstar boss's future, according to ESPN.

"Mourinho will stay with Real Madrid next season," Ronaldo said. "But it is the club that is the most important thing and not Mourinho, or me."

Speculation about Mourinho's future has been rampant in recent weeks. Last month, he was reportedly so upset with the internal politics at Real Madrid, he travelled to London looking to buy a home.

That, coupled with former protege Andre Villas-Boas' firing from his (Mourinho's) old job as Chelsea manager, caused the rumor mill to spin out of control. Mourinho instantly became the early favorite to take over the Chelsea job starting next season.

The "Special One" is in his second season in charge of the Spanish giant, and has it poised to re-claim the La Liga crown from rival FC Barcelona after a four-year drought. Real has a 10-point lead with 12 games to play. It would take a monumental collapse to lose such an advantage.

Ronaldo has been in prolific scoring form since moving to the Spanish capital. The 27-year-old's exploits have attracted the interest of some of Europe's leading clubs, including AC Milan and Manchester City. But he has no plans to leave any time soon.

"The club is always growing season after season," Ronaldo said. "At Real Madrid I have continually improved in order to compete with my teammates. It is important for me to be always learning and I want to continue to do my best, which is why I am very happy."
