Dwyane Wade's focus might not be completely on the Celtics when the two teams hook up on Sunday.

That's because a nephew of the Miami Heat guard was one of 13 men shot — two fatally — during a violent six-hour stretch in Chicago, according to The Associated Press.

Wade reportedly learned of the incident following the Heat's victory over the Mavericks on Thursday night, and he said that he played Friday's game against the Raptors "with a heavy heart."

Wade ended up scoring 30 points in Miami's 113-101 victory over Toronto, but his heart was obviously with his nephew, who Wade expects to recover.

"I played for him and with him in mind," Wade said. "I was 9 years old when he was born. I was an uncle at 9 years old. A lot of thoughts go through your mind. … My prayers go out to all the families involved, especially the one family who lost a child. My prayers go out to them. It's tough."

Six males — including Wade's nephew — were shot at a store on Chicago's South Side at about 6 p.m. on Thursday. One man was dead at the scene and four others — ranging in age from 16 to 24 — were reportedly hospitalized in critical condition.
