Fabio Capello Could Return to Work Next Season, But 'Will Not Coach in Italy'It shouldn’t be long before Fabio Capello gets back to work. There are no shortage of top clubs interested in his services, but Italian ones need not apply.

The former England manager has ruled out coaching in his homeland, according to the Daily Mail.

“I will not coach in Italy any more,” the Mail reports Capello told Rai Tre TV. “I will only coach abroad if there is anything interesting. I am a child of the world, I like to experience new countries and different cultures.”

Recent reports linked Capello with the Inter Milan job, but he has little interest in joining the struggling Italian giant.

Capello sensationally resigned from his job as England manager in February. He walked away in protest of the FA’s decision to strip John Terry of the England captaincy amidst allegations that he racially abused a black opponent. Terry’s case will be tried in civil court in early July.

Although the timing of his departure left England in a lurch, Capello’s resume will merit him consideration for almost any job opening at club or international level. The 65-year-old’s list of honors includes one UEFA Champions League, two La Liga and seven (two were revoked) Serie A titles.

The England job paid him £6 million ($9.5 million) a year, and it’s unlikely his next position will net him as much.

But it’s possible that Capello will be seeking an adventure when he chooses his next job. Adding to his considerable riches may be, at best, a secondary factor.
