Goal.com reports the two clubs signed an agreement to make sure other talented Argentines make their way to the the Nou Camp.
The deal gives Barcelona first rights of refusal on Boca's players. In return, the Argentine club will receive coaching and technical expertise from the Spanish club's "La Candela" coaching project.
"Barcelona gets first choice regarding the players that represented the club in Argentina and that from now on shall be wearing the shirt of Boca Juniors," Goal.com reports Barcelona said in an official statement. "The same right will relate to other young players emerging from the club's youth system.
"Boca Juniors will be able to count on the Barcelona structure and human resources for the instruction of their own coaches, the aim being to transmit their philosophy and methods regarding the development of youth footballers."
The partnership joins two of world's top producers of soccer talent together for the forseeable future. Barcelona is the reigning FIFA Club World Cup champion, while Boca Juniors returned to supremacy in Argentine soccer in December.
Boca players routinely join European clubs for millions of dollars. The Barca-Boca accord gives the Spanish giants a chance to sign Boca players for reduced fees, since they won't have to outbid other European clubs to acquire top Argentine talent.
Wayward Manchester City star Carlos Tevez is a product of the Boca system. The next big thing to come out of the storied club could join Lionel Messi at the world's top club. That's a scary proposition for Barcelona's rivals.
