CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly had an inside source for one of the greatest offseason storylines in NFL history, but he didn't want to exploit it by overstepping his bounds.

Kuechly, a first-round lock for April's NFL draft, shares an agent with Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. Yet, Kuechly said he never bothered Tom Condon to find out where Manning would land after his release from the Colts.

Manning's storyline unfolded in so many different ways over the course of several weeks, but word came down Monday that he was choosing the Broncos over the Titans, 49ers, Cardinals and Dolphins, among others.

While the NFL world continued to speculate over Manning's future, Kuechly said he just didn't want to get in the way. After all, Kuechly has been busy with his own situation.

"No not really," Kuechly said when asked about the potential urge to speak with Condon about Manning. "He probably knew as much as we all did. It was down to the three teams and whatever it was, but that was none of my business. He's got to take care of that. I was just excited that was all figured out. It takes a little bit of weight off his chest, and he can kind of relax a little bit now."
