The hat trick is a rare and exhilarating feat. With the horn blaring, the crowd on its feet and a bunch of thrown hats on the ice, there isn't any reason not to love them.

That's why three Bruins players made sure to make them happen throughout Boston's 2010-11 regular season. Milan Lucic, Patrice Bergeron and Zdeno Chara all made it rain hats at the Garden last season.

Lucic got his hat trick in early against the Florida Panthers in November. His three goals accounted for most of the scoring in the Bruins' 4-0 victory.

After a few months without much hat trick action, Bergeron finally stepped up in early January against the Senators. He scored half the Bruins' goals as the Senators fell, 6-0, in Boston.

Less than a week later, the Bruins continued their scoring rampage by putting up seven goals against Carolina. Chara's three goals helped pave the way for yet another shutout victory, as Boston won handily, 7-0.

With the way things went during the Bruins' run to the title, hat tricks were a good sign for both the offense and the defense. Three goals are always good, but each time it happened in 2010-11 for the B's, it coincided with a shutout.
