These injuries are never not disgusting.

Minnesota Timberwolves star point guard Ricky Rubio was just coming into his own this year, when all of it came to a screeching halt against the Lakers on Friday night, as the 21-year-old will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL, according to reports.

As Rubio came over to help double team Kobe Bryant, his foot slipped and his knee flexed awkwardly as he fell to the ground.

The Spanish point guard was clearly in a lot of pain and was eventually helped off the floor.

With Rubio and Kevin Love working their magic, the Wolves were looking to compete for one of the last playoff spots in the Western Conference. While Love missed Friday's match up due to back spasms, he'll likely return before long. Unfortunately, Minnesota's star playmaker will not be joining him, severely damaging the Timberwolves' shot at the postseason.
