FOXBORO, Mass. — Unless you’ve been buried in a crater on the dark side of the moon, you’ve probably heard about the new quarterback in the AFC East.

The Jets acquired Tim Tebow from the Broncos on Wednesday, which means the NFL’s most widely discussed player will be in uniform against the Patriots twice per season.

The Patriots, obviously, had their own encounter with Tebow prior to the 2010 draft, when Bill Belichick hosted Tebow for a meeting and took the former Florida quarterback out to dinner in Boston. It seems like everyone at Gillette Stadium knows a thing or two about Tebow, including owner Robert Kraft.

“I personally like Tim Tebow a lot,” Kraft said Thursday at a Camp Sunshine community event at Gillette. “I love that he’s into spirituality. It’s something that I and my family feel strongly about. He’s a great young man, and I have great affection for him.”
