EA Sports continues to turn things over to the people who make them most successful, the gamers.
After letting fans vote on the cover athlete for Madden over the past couple of years, EA Sports is now calling on the people to help decide who will grace the cover of NHL 13.
Voting is under way, and the first round of voting runs through April 1. Each team has two players representing them, and the two Bruins in the hunt for the cover are Tyler Seguin and Tuukka Rask.
The best news for B's fans hoping to see either of those two young stars on the cover next year is that arguably the game's two most popular stars — Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin — are not in the running. Neither are two Blackhawks, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, presumably because they've already been on the cover.
If Bruins fans are concerned about any sort of cover jinx like Madden, it's worth nothing that last year's cover athlete, Steven Stamkos, currently has 55 goals.
Oh, and for some reason, Alexandre Burrows is on the list. Go figure.
