Vote: Should Evgeni Malkin Have Been Suspended for His Hit on Johnny Boychuk? The already banged-up Bruins left Pittsburgh with a few more bruises than they would have liked.

Already down a few important cogs, the B's nearly lost defenseman Johnny Boychuk after Penguins star forward Evgeni Malkin clobbered him from behind into the boards. Malkin received two minutes for the hit but won't be suspended by the NHL, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

"The league will have to look at it," Bruins coach Claude Julien said after the game Sunday."It was a hit from behind. Again, they’re the ones that make those decisions. We don’t like those hits, my job is tough enough as it is, I don’t want to do his [Brendan Shanahan's], because his is pretty tough as well.

Boychuk wasn’t injured on the play but looked a little dazed after peeling himself off the ice surface. Check out the video of the hit below and vote.
