Who Is The Winningest Active American Goalie Not From Michigan?Forget cars, Michigan is goalie country.

The Great Lakes State sure can pump out hockey players but when it comes to producing high-quality goaltenders, it’s tough for any other state to match what Michigan has offered the NHL.

John Vanbiesbrouck, the NHL’s all-time winningest American goalie with 374 career wins, hailed from Detroit. Buffalo’s Ryan Miller (East Lansing) and Boston’s Tim Thomas (Flint) each call Michigan home and even grew up less than an hour away from each other. Miller, with 244 career wins, is the active American leader in NHL wins, ahead of the second-place Thomas, who has 188.

Eleven of the NHL’s top 30 winningest American goalies are currently active — can you name the active American netminder who hails from anywhere but Michigan who has the most career wins?

For a select amount of Bruins games this season, NESN and The Four’s will be teaming up to offer B’s fans the chance at winning a $50 gift card to The Four’s Restaurant and Sports Bar by simply answering a trivia question found at NESN.com/thefours.
