Zdeno Chara Sends Shot Off Defender to Put Bruins Ahead Against Ducks (Video)

Thanks to some help from the front line, defenseman Zdeno Chara sent the puck off a defender and through the five-hole to put the Bruins ahead early in their Sunday night matchup against the Ducks in Anaheim.

As the Ducks moved up the ice, the Bruins forwards cut off any easy passing lanes and captured the puck. After some deft passing and a Brad Marchand shot on goal, Chara collected the long rebound and rattled it home through the defense to put the Bruins up 1-0 in the second period.

The goal was Chara’s 12th of the season.
