But good pranks aren't limited to just April 1. In fact, some of the best pranks often occur on random dates, because it's those days on which practical jokes are least likely to get snuffed out.
Locker rooms tend to be the best places to witness pranks. With teammates spending so much of the year together, there becomes a sense of camaraderie, and players usually jump at the opportunity to pull a fast one and garner a laugh. And that laugh sometimes comes at the expense of the coach or manager.
Tom Brady, Charles Barkley, Mark Cuban, Ken Griffey Jr. and Jonathan Toews can claim to have been part of memorable pranks in sports history. But the most memorable ones certainly aren't limited to those guys.
